Hello! My name is Alicia Chantal and I'm the owner and editor behind Fresh Look Editing. I started my business in 2019, but professional communication has been part of my life for more than 15 years.

What I Love

I am passionate about working with clients so their message resonates. I view editing as a collaborative exercise, so I approach projects getting to know you and your needs before tackling a single sentence. Words are powerful — choosing the right ones and presenting a clear, impactful message can make all the difference in the world to you and your audience. That's where I can help!

My Background

I have a Bachelor of Arts (English) degree, a diploma in public relations, and a medical terminology certificate. I also hold an editing certificate from Simon Fraser University. I am currently co-coordinator of Cloud Club West for the Chartered Institute of Editing and Proofreading (CIEP), and am a former member of Editors Canada's Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion task force.
